Description: The 2004 Petite Sirah is our very first release and a proud accomplishment. It is an opulent blend of 15% Lodi Zinfandel and 85% Lodi Petite Sirah, both from the Mencarini Vineyards. The dark garnet plum color of this wine is enough to get any connoisseur interested. On the nose, this Petite opens with slightly spice and coffee aromas and continues with ripe Bing cherries and blackberries. With further aeration of the wine, the aroma profile develops with more ripened fruit flavors overpowering the spice. The mouth feel is well balanced for a young wine. The fuit flavors continue to ripen and start to pop while the finish leaves you wanting a second glass. This wine would be best enjoyed with any beef or lamb dish, or even your favorite grilled eggplant recipe. Cheers!
